Fairy magic!

Parents in some areas of the country are getting close to paying out a fiver to the tooth fairy for each and every tooth, according to new data from Bupa Dental Care.
In the more budget-conscious regions, payouts remain remarkably close to what today’s parents received during their own childhoods (an average of £1.38). But while parents in the East Midlands pay out the least, at £1.58, followed by the South East at £1.67, other areas are being increasingly generous! Nearly 1 in 5 parents admit they try to match what other families are paying to avoid school-gate comparisons.
Bupa’s findings show that while overall national trends lean toward higher digital rewards, millions of cash-conscious parents are balancing magic with budgeting. One in three however, feel that because costs are rising so fast, it’s only fair for the tooth fairy to be a little more generous. And the magic remains firmly alive, with three-quarters saying their children believe in the Tooth Fairy!
